Planned Parenthood Pennsylvania Advocates (PPPA) is one of 21 state public affairs offices of Planned Parenthood Federation of America. Through Planned Parenthood's seven affiliates with 42 health centers throughout Pennsylvania, and our state public affairs office in Harrisburg, we work to promote government policies that ensure equal, open and voluntary access to reproductive health care for women and their families.
Requirements
To be considered for an internship with Planned Parenthood Pennsylvania Advocates, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Work in our downtown Harrisburg office, provide transportation and parking.
Create a regular, but flexible, schedule with hours that suit both the intern and the office staff.
Support the goals and mission of Planned Parenthood, which includes supporting pro-choice laws and policies.
Possess strong interest in politics, and be familiar with, or be willing to learn, the Pennsylvania political system.
Internships may qualify for academic credit; applicants are responsible for ensuring that they can receive credit by completing all necessary qualifying requirements and documentation required by their college or university.
