Community Outreach Coordinator – Planned Parenthood Association of Bucks County

General Responsibilities

The Community Outreach Coordinator is a full time position based in our Administrative Office in Warminster, with 1 day of the week working in our Warminster Medical Office. As part of the Public Affairs Department, the Community Outreach Coordinator works with coalition groups, volunteers, agency staff, Planned Parenthood supporters, and community members to help meet the public affairs department goals including increasing Planned Parenthood’s visibility, promoting our issues and services, and broadening our advocacy base. The position also includes working with our Action Fund, our electoral arm, working on electoral activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required with experience beneficial
  • Excellent organization skills and communication skills, including writing skills
  • Understanding of and strong personal commitment to reproductive rights and the goals and philosophies of Planned Parenthood
  • Familiarity with county area desirable, but not mandatory
  • Previous experience as a volunteer helpful
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of volunteers and employee information
  • Experience with word processing is a necessity, desktop publishing skills are highly desirable
  • Willingness to travel and accept a flexible work schedule that includes some evening and occasional weekend commitments
