Planned Parenthood Pennsylvania Votes Statement on PA Election Results
Quote from Sari Stevens, Executive Director, Planned Parenthood PA Votes:

“Women made history on Election Day, and Pennsylvania is sending the most women ever to the US House of Representatives. We proudly endorsed Mary Gay Scanlon, Madeleine Dean, Chrissy Houlahan, and Susan Wild, who will represent Pennsylvania where we previously had no female members of Congress, and they are among the 100 women nationwide elected to go to Washington. Along with Conor Lamb, we now have five more champions for women and reproductive health care representing us in the House.

In addition, we saw some fundamental wins in the State Legislature. Between the 2018 primaries and general election, we now have 17 more reproductive health champions in the House and four more in the Senate. Pennsylvanians spoke loud and clear: access to reproductive health care and safe, legal abortion is important to them, and they will hold legislators accountable for their votes. We look forward to working with our Legislature to ensure, along with Governor Tom Wolf, that Planned Parenthood remains available to the nearly 90,000 Pennsylvanians who rely on our services.”
