Planned Parenthood Pennsylvania Advocates and NextGen America Launch New Program To Educate Pennsylvanians on John Morganelli’s Dangerous Record

Allentown, PA– Today, Planned Parenthood Pennsylvania Advocates and NextGen America announced a new program that will educate voters in Pennsylvania about John Morganelli’s dangerous record on reproductive health care and immigration. The program will engage and educate voters through multiple digital platforms and through direct mail.

John Morganelli is an anti-abortion, anti-immigrant politician. During a recent Democratic candidate forum, when asked about their support for abortion rights, Morganelli was the only candidate not to raise his hand in support. He also opposes sanctuary cities for immigrant families and has been quoted stating that he seeks to prevent certain immigrants from obtaining driver’s licenses.

Statement from Sari Stevens, Executive Director of Planned Parenthood Pennsylvania Advocates:

“Time and time again, John Morganelli has shown us that he does not stand by what is best for Pennsylvania families. John Morganelli is the only candidate in the 7th district that does not support a woman’s right to make her own health care decisions. At Planned Parenthood, we believe that everyone has the right to access reproductive health care services– regardless of gender, race, or immigration status. We need a champion who will reliably support access to safe, legal abortion, and fight for every Pennsylvanian in the House of Representatives.”

Statement from Aleigha Cavalier, Communications Director of NextGen America:

“John Morganelli does not support a women’s right to choose and has repeatedly sought to make lives harder for immigrants. He sees no evidence that Donald Trump is a racist, and even asked to serve in his administration. These are not the values of young Pennsylvanians, and John Morganelli shouldn’t represent the Democratic Party on the ballot in November.
